Scout Meeting 26th May 2016

We were back to the full compliment of leaders tonight following the birthday celebrations from last week. Following our opening ceremony where we recite our Charter of

• Courage

• Honesty

• Adventure

• Respect

• Teamwork

• Environment

• Laughter

we went outside for a game of Chairball. As usual it more or less turned into a game of “Murder Ball” or “Kill the Person with the Ball” as was known in my day.

We went inside then to do a review of our Emergencies night two weeks ago. Thomas was leading this and instead of the usual way of sitting everyone down and discussing it, Thomas had prepared quesitons and post-its to answer the questions. Then the scouts were spolit into small groups and they answered the questions on the post-its. After 5 minutes, they moved on to the next station and answered the questions on the sheet there. After they had completed all of the sheets the Scouts read out the answers of the station that they were at. It was a really great way to review the activity that we had and certainly put a new twist on it.
