
Scout Meeting 26th November 2015
When we went in we stated our charter. We went straight into a game called the “123 game” where you have to switch with people and run around. It’s very energetic and great fun. Investiture
Tonight was another very special night for our new scouts and the former cubs who had recently moved up to scouts. They were to be invested into the scout troop. We decided to hod the investiture at the start of the meeting so that parents/guardians and family could attend. We began the investiture straight after we recited our Charter to open the meeting. Hillwalking Skills Night
As always, we started our meeting by reciting our Charter. Our first game of the night was Chairball. However, rather than the usual splitting the troop in two, we played a four way game with each patrol for themselves. The hall is a bit small and the ceiling a bit low for games like this, but we did our best and had a great game. Tonight we started to look in more detail at maps and compasses. Uniform Night = Inspection
On Wednesday night we started the meeting with a uniform inspection. Most of us looked spick and span but sadly my whole patrol forgot * dramatic pause * BLACK SOCKS !!!!! Yes the leaders do check our socks so remember guys never ever come to an inspection night with pink or purple or white socks or in my case maroon tights ( I was at my cousin’s graduation don’t judge ) Check list for a perfect uniform : Badges in the right place Proper trousers Shirt tucked in Neat necker
