

Scout Meeting - Adventure Skills
This meet in started as usual with the charter then we played a knockout game before separating into our groups for the badges. I am currently doing backwoods stage three and this Thursday we were asked questions to show that we knew about stage one and two. After we had finished, the leaders talked to us about the night hike we are going on on Friday the 12th of February. The meeting finished with us saluting the flag. Then we went home. Scout Meeting
Finn started off our meeting as usual by saying the charter and adding his “backwards”. The pls game of the week was London, Derry, Cork and Kerry which involved a series of unfortunate events that left everybody without an arm/leg etc. Some people ended up dragging themselves across the floor using one arm! Scout Meeting 14th January 2016
Tonight we continued on with the PLs and APLs taking on the lead at the start of the meeting and organising the first game. They went for an old favourite that we sometimes like to call “Ankle Crusher” for obvious reasons. Ella and Jessica took the lead and asked all of the scouts to pair up sole to sole while sitting in a line on the floor. They were finding it difficult to be heard above the noise in the room so Brendan gave them a whistle. That soon got everyone’s attentio


Happy New Year
Welcome back to scouting for the new year of 2016. We were missing Fiona tonight as she was at a wedding in Scotland and Thomas could not make it either due to a leg injury, but Alan, Brendan, and Ciaran were joined by Fiona Leontis from the Beaver team to help out on the night.
