Hangin' with the Cubs Summer '19
This is what our Cubs like.... This is how the leaders feel .....afterwards... Wow what a weekend! What an enthusiastic team of kids and a great team of leaders (thank you Sean, one our Scout leaders, and Seanie and Antony (youth members)) for joining us this weekend. We appreciate all your help this weekend. Well where to start, we arrived at Larch Hill at 9.15 am on Saturday and made our way to the "Chicken Huts". We had discussed with the cubs options around camping and/or

Summer Camp 2019 Day 8
A strange thing happened this morning. Fiona and Mary were out of bed before Brendan. They must have known how much work was still left to do before we left camp. We had a quick flag up and breakfast. Unfortunately, there was no time for an auction this morning, but, rest assured, it will return again on next year's camp. We made sure to be at the bus stop ion plenty of time and then waited and waited. We saw a bus come and turn

Summer Camp 2019 Day 5
On Sunday morning, we woke up in the woods under our bivvys. As promised, we will now tell you who got wet. It was Brendan. He was only half in and half out of the leaders bivvy, but the rain wasn't actually as heavy as it sounded on the traps. He was just a bit damp.We got up at at about 7:30, but it took us nearly 2 hours to clear up everything and make sure that we left no trace. Ellie-May was the last person to get up so, as standard, she was awarded the grumpy hat when w
