One of our leaders works for Met Eireann and at a Group Council meeting a few months back, he suggested that we could organise a trip to Casement Aerodrome and Weather Station over the Mid Term break. We all agreed that it was a great idea and set him and another leader off to plan the trip. Tonight at scouts we started with our charter,Then when we finished we split off into four groups and talked about earning new badges. As usual I started to joke around and have a laugh every now and then.We had Ciaran as our “teacher” and we were told about some special interest badges and a few more badges that we will be attempting to earn in the near future. The scout meeting started with us saying the charter, as per usual. When we were done we moved all the benches into a circle and did a review of the weekend camp in Larch Hill. This was our first camp of the year. Groups from the whole of Fingal Scout County were there. Our Cubs came with us, but not the Beavers. Some groups had Beavers on camp, but not us. The Bremore Beavers will be on camp next weekend. We arrived at Larch Hill on Friday at 7 o’clock.
